Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair held

The fair, supported by KOBİA, allows local and foreign companies to showcase their services.

The 19th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair ("AITF 2023") has started its work at the Baku Expo Center. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) is among the institutions supporting the fair.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov stated that the tourism sector, one of the areas most affected by the pandemic, is recovering. The recent decision to eliminate many restrictions due to the pandemic will also have a positive impact on the resurgence of the sector. At "AITF 2023" Fair, which is held after a three-year break, local and foreign companies can introduce their services.

Orkhan Mammadov provided information on the support and services provided by KOBİA to business entities operating in the tourism sector, as well as the project of rural guesthouses implemented by the Agency together with partner institutions. It was emphasized that the scope of the project, which is planned to be expanded, encourages locals to involve in entrepreneurial activities and has a positive impact on multiplying their income.

Note: The fair showcasing tourism services provided by local and foreign companies will last until April 6th. The fair will cover bilateral meetings, a photo exhibition, a travel blogger event, and a panel discussion on "Become an expert in the field of tourism".
