Azerbaijan hosted a conference on alternative financing 26.10.21

On October 26, a conference was held within the framework of the partnership of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) of the Islamic Development Bank, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC), the Business Forum of the Islamic Development Bank Group, and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA). The online event was dedicated to “The potential role of Sukuk in financing infrastructure and public-private partnership projects in Azerbaijan”.

The event discussed the development of the Islamic financial system on a global scale and the role of this alternative financial mechanism in the implementation of infrastructure and public-private partnership projects and answered the participants’ questions.

At the webinar, ICD Chief executive officer Ayman Amin Sejini, CAERC executive director Vusal Gasimli, and deputy chairman of the SMBDA Board Rufat Atakishiyev shared their views on the topic.
