An exchange of views was held with business entities on issues related to the establishment of production enterprises, the promotion of measures for environmental protection, support for the establishment of foreign-capital businesses and other issues.
A meeting with entrepreneurs operating in the region was held with the organisation of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and the support of the Mingachevir City Executive Authority. About 120 entrepreneurs operating in the fields of industry, fisheries, public catering, agriculture and other fields, as well as representatives of state institutions, participated in the event.
At the meeting, Ilham Ismayilov, Head of the Mingachevir City Executive Authority, and Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of KOBİA, provided information on the opportunities for entrepreneurial activity in the region, the state support instruments, including the service infrastructure and support mechanisms of KOBİA. It was noted that at present the main directions of development are the application of digital technologies, the increase of production efficiency, the integration of SME entities into the value chain and the expansion of the green economy. In Mingachevir, which is one of the main industrial and energy centres of Azerbaijan, favourable opportunities exist for the development of the production, services and logistics sectors, the attraction of new investments and the expansion of entrepreneurial activity. The industrial enterprises and energy infrastructure operating in the city support the development of the processing industry, innovative production and the services sector. Entrepreneurs of Mingachevir also may benefit from the state support instruments, including the services provided by KOBİA, for the realisation of the existing potential. For this purpose, entrepreneurs may apply directly to KOBİA or to the Friends of the SME operating in the region.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was held with entrepreneurs on issues related to the establishment of a production enterprise and a confectionery workshop in the liberated territories, the promotion of measures for environmental protection, support for the establishment of foreign-capital businesses and other issues, the proposals of business entities were heard and their questions were answered.
Representatives of KOBİA also visited enterprises producing thermal paper products, pellet fuel and metal structures in Mingachevir. An exchange of views with entrepreneurs on business development was held. These enterprises have, at different times, benefited from such support mechanisms of KOBİA as domestic market research and support for participation in exhibitions.
