The number of micro and small entrepreneurs exempted from profit or income tax on innovation activities has reached 272.
An additional 13 applications from SME entities were submitted to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), operating under the Ministry of Economy, for the issuance of the “Startup” certificate. The applications were reviewed at a meeting of the Expert Council established for the purpose of issuing the “Startup” certificate, and a decision was made to issue the relevant document to 9 of them.
The “Startup” certificates were issued for the following projects: “Yumo Technology” LLC’s marketplace for auto service and car care services; “Myad Solutions” LLC’s “Admein.az” project (interactive advertising platform in taxis); “Mergen AI” LLC’s specialized artificial intelligence model “HAL-X”; “AD Libitum Solutions” LLC’s software for parking and access control systems; “Baysart” LLC’s “Artificial Intelligence in Art” platform; “Tanz Technologies” LLC’s AI-based omnichannel communication platform for customers; “Innovation Media Services” LLC’s “InnMedia” project (agent-based AI solution for media organizations); “Devlab” LLC’s AI-based recruitment and development platform; and the project of individual entrepreneur Arif Hasanov — an AI-based real estate purchase and sale platform.
The “Startup” certificate exempts SME entities from profit and income tax on income generated from innovation activities for a period of 3 years starting from the date of receipt of the certificate.
Micro and small business entities whose projects are at the development stage may apply to KOBİA for a
