ANNOUNCEMENT

The final meeting of the Election Commission established in connection with the formation of the Public Council under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (KOBİA) was held. The Election Commission has already reviewed the documents that candidates submitted to be selected to the membership of the Public Council, and the applications of the candidates whose names are on the list and who met the conditions have been registered:

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the limit of the number of members of the Public Council under KOBİA is 15 people. On November 29, 2022 at 11:00 in the meeting room of KOBİA, situated at 134 Ataturk Avenue, Baku City, Narimanov District, it was decided to host a joint meeting of an equal number of representatives of civil society organizations about the election of members to the Public Council.


Each civil society organization can formally confirm their participation in the elections by registering their members accordingly.


The requirements for applicants are as follows:

- Only representatives of civil society institutions can participate as voters in the election to the Public Council;

- Each civil society institution can only nominate one representative to participate as a voter in the election to the Public Council;

- Members of the election commission are not permitted to act as voters in the election to the Public Council.


For reviewing the voter registration issue, the following documentation is required:

1. application for registration of voter (representative of civil society institution);

2. a copy of the voter's identity card;

3. relevant official document on civil society institution.


The Election Commission will review the issue of voter registration before making a conclusion.


Electronic submissions of the necessary documentation for the aforementioned registration are accepted at smbshura@smb.gov.az.


Applications for registration will be accepted starting on November 26, 2022, and the application period will expire on November 28, 2022, at 18:00.


The public will be given more details regarding the election outcomes.
