A public discussion was organized within the framework of urban development renewal in order to improve the operating environment for entrepreneurs and adapt business infrastructure to modern requirements. The event featured an exchange of views on urban development activities and new business opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The public discussion titled “Improving the Business Operating Environment and Adapting Business Infrastructure to Modern Requirements,” organized by the Public Council under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), brought together representatives of relevant state institutions and nearly 100 entrepreneurs engaged in the trade sector.
Emin Dostiyari, Chair of the Public Council under KOBİA, highlighted the impact of urban development processes on entrepreneurial activity and emphasized the importance of gathering entrepreneurs’ opinions and recommendations in this regard. It was noted that such public discussions make practical contributions to the decision-making process and serve to create a more favorable environment for business development.
Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBİA, underlined the importance of modernizing business infrastructure and improving the entrepreneurial operating environment in the context of ongoing innovations in urban development. He stated that the renewed urban planning model creates new opportunities for entrepreneurs to operate in more functional, safe, and modern commercial spaces. KOBİA provides organizational and informational support to entrepreneurs throughout this process.
Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), provided information on the renewal measures implemented in the regulation of urban transport and cargo flows. It was noted that the bus terminal currently located in the territory of the Absheron Trade Center serves more than 700 passengers daily with an average of 115 trips across nearly 30 routes, including Salyan, Neftchala, Astara, Lankaran, and Shirvan.
Movsum Huseynov, Deputy Director of the Baku City Trade and Services Department, delivered information on the renewal of trade and service infrastructure in the capital, including the provision of alternative opportunities for business entities during the renovation of existing commercial spaces.
Emin Shirinov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund (ABIF), stated that the Fund offers a variety of financial support mechanisms to entrepreneurs operating in the priority sectors of the economy. He emphasized that the Fund is ready to support projects aimed at improving the business operating environment and fostering a competitive economic landscape.
Parvin Safaraliyev, Deputy Chief of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, provided information on measures implemented to eliminate traffic congestion caused by increased cargo transportation, as well as steps taken to regulate transport flow and ensure safe mobility for drivers.
Mammad Agayev, Adviser to the Executive Director of the “Azerbaijan Insurers Association” Public Union, shared his views on risk management and the importance of insurance within the renewed business infrastructure.
Following that, Erhan Topkaya, representative of the Absheron Trade Center, delivered a presentation on the business opportunities offered by the trade center, listened to the proposals of entrepreneurs, and answered their questions.
