The Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by government officials and businessmen from both countries operating in various sectors of the economy.


Speaking at the business forum, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), spoke about the favorable business and investment environment created in the country, the Agency's activities, and the support and services provided by KOBİA to foreign businessmen wishing to do business in Azerbaijan.


A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between KOBİA and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan within the business forum. The document was signed by the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and the Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov. According to the memorandum, the parties will inform each other about trade and investment opportunities, support and encourage the development of bilateral relations between SMEs, organize mutual business missions, etc.
