A meeting with entrepreneurs was held in Gadabey and Tovuz, SME friends started operating in the regions 01.10.22

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) continues its meetings to study the challenges encountered by entrepreneurs in the regions and listen to their proposals, as well as to inform entrepreneurs about state support mechanisms, including KOBİA’s support and services.

On October 1, similar meetings were organized for the Gadabey and Tovuz regions. Entrepreneurs and representatives of state institutions providing services to them attended the meetings organized by KOBİA and the executive authorities of relevant regions.

As part of the meetings with entrepreneurs, KOBİA's friends of Small and Medium Business - SME friends in Gadabey and Tovuz were introduced to the business community of the region. With this, the number of SME friends in Gazakh-Tovuz economic region has reached three. Currently, SME friends operate in 37 cities and regions of the country.

In Gadabey and Tovuz regions SME friends offices are located in Heydar Aliyev Centers. In SME friends offices necessary conditions have been created for providing support and services to entrepreneurs. "SME volunteers" also work in the offices together with the SME friend.

At the meeting with the entrepreneurs, the Chairman of the Board of KOBİA Orkhan Mammadov noted the importance of the activity of SME friends in terms of providing on-site support to business, and stressed that as an effective support mechanism, SME friends contribute to the development of entrepreneurship and the prompt solution of the challenges faced by the business in the regions. Entrepreneurs were encouraged to closely cooperate with the SME friend, and it was announced that the network of the SME friend would grow to include other cities and regions of the country.

Films on the Agency's SME support programmes were presented at the meetings, questions from business owners were addressed, and proposals from entrepreneurs were heard.
