Within the visit to our country, staff consisting representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Department of Investment of the Sultanate of Oman has familiarized with activities of the Baku SME House.
Representatives of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the Baku SME House provided information on Azerbaijan’s SME House model, as well as on the “G2B” and “B2B” services delivered to entrepreneurs through SME Houses.
It was noted that SME Houses, which function as integrated one-stop service centers for entrepreneurs, provide a wide range of services delivered by public and private institutions, covering the entire business cycle—from business planning to business start-up and further development. Currently, 4 SME Houses and 1 service center are operating nationwide and are available for entrepreneurs’ use. Within SME Houses, nearly 400 “G2B” and “B2B” services are delivered by more than 50 public and private institutions. The level of entrepreneurs’ satisfaction with the services provided at SME Houses stands at 98%. The SME House model has already attracted the attention of several countries, and cooperation documents have been signed with KOBIA to study and apply Azerbaijan’s experience with this model.
