Projects obtained the "Startup" certificate encompass the development of online platforms, mobile applications, and the manufacturing various devices, all integrating innovative solutions across sectors like education, public catering, food services, ICT, and industry.

In January-March 2024, 26 micro and small entrepreneurs appealed to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) for the "Startup" certificate. Based on the "Criteria for the determination of Startup" approved by the Resolution of Cabinet of Ministers on January 29, 2021, the Council of Experts made decision to award 16 micro and small entrepreneurs with "startup" certificates. 

11 are legal entities, while 5 are individuals out of the economic entities awarded with certificates. 

Among them, 15 are micro-enterprises, and 1 is a small business entity.

The projects obtained the "Startup" certificates encompass the development of online platforms, mobile applications, and the manufacturing various devices, all integrating innovative solutions across sectors like education, public catering, food services, ICT, and industry.

Overall, 139 micro and small business entities were awarded with "startup" certificates up to date. 

The "startup" certificate exempts SMBs from corporate profit tax and personal income tax on income derived from innovative activities for a period of 3 years.
